Drinks & Simple Syrups ı Awesome Recipes To Try!

Friday, July 30, 2021 10:53 PM

In this blog post, we are going to share alcoholic recipes! If you don’t know what simple syrups are, we suggest having a brief look at this post, it will help to understand how to use them.

What we particularly enjoy using these syrups is the fact you can make elaborate drinks within seconds. The reason we enjoy Garden Bar products is the fact it’s made locally in Salisbury, NB. Second, they turn flavours of the garden (hence the name!) and make it easier to get the best of the flavours.

We are so excited to have these products with us. You can go crazy with these and create your own recipes, feel free to share them with us! (We would love to share them so others can enjoy!)

Lavender Gin & Sour

This Lavender Gin and Sour is Frederique (Garden Bar Founder) her favourite drink. The lavenders' sweet and floral taste is the perfect companion to the piny juniper flavour of gin, this along with the acidity you get from the lemon juice balances all these strong flavours in the most delicate ways.

For this recipe you will need:

2 oz. (French) Gin
1 oz. Fresh lemon juice
½ oz. Garden Bar Lavender Simple Syrup

Optional: 1 egg-white

Mix in shaker with ice (or stir), strain and pour into a cold glass on the rocks. Just be sure to only add the egg-white if you plan on using a cocktail shaker.

The Shortcut Mojito

For this recipe you will need:

1 ½ oz. White rum
1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
1 oz.
Garden Bar Mint Simple Syrup
½ cup Sparkling water

Optional: ¼ Lime and fresh mint leaves

Fill a tall glass with ice. Pour mint infused simple syrup, white rum and lime juice into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously, then strain the cocktail into the glass with ice. Top off with club soda and stir in fresh mint leaves. Garnish with a lime wedge, if desired.

You can make a tasty and refreshing alcohol-free beverage (aka a "mocktail") by omitting the rum and substituting ginger ale for club soda.

Blueberry Vodka

For this recipe you will need:

3 oz. Sparkling Water
1 oz. Vodka
1 oz. Fresh lemon juice
½ oz. Garden Bar
Blueberry Simple Syrup

Mix the vodka, fresh lemon juice and Garden Bar Blueberry Simple Syrup in a mixer and sake. Strain into a chilled glass with ice and top off with the sparkling water.

Rosemary Bourbon Sour

1/2 oz. of Garden Bar Rosemary Simple Syrup
2 oz.  of Bourbon1 oz. of fresh lemon juice (for a sweeter serving switch to orange juice)
Ice cubes, for shaking and serving
Sprigs of rosemary & Orange slices, for garnish (optional)

In cocktail shaker, combine Rosemary Simple Syrup, bourbon, lemon juice and ice; shake well.
